An outstanding diplomat, President of the 52nd session of the UN General Assembly, and one of the founders of modern Ukrainian diplomacy, he was among those who laid the foundations for the foreign service of independent Ukraine and helped build its international standing in the world.
During the event, participants recalled not only his professional achievements but also his role as a mentor and statesman, whose principles and approaches continue to set the standards for the Ukrainian diplomatic service.
Hennadiy Udovenko’s legacy continues to serve as a guide for new generations of diplomats, and his principles—Professionalism, Patriotism, and Integrity—remain as relevant as ever.
