The Ukrainian Alliance NGO actively promotes the spread of Ukrainian culture and traditions far beyond the borders of our homeland!

At the joint initiative of the Spanish and Ukrainian Parties, a decision was made to erect a monument to the world-famous Ukrainian poetess, a woman of indomitable spirit Lesya Ukrainka in the Spanish capital of Madrid as a manifestation of the strengthening and development of cultural relations between the peoples of Ukraine and Spain.

The author of the monument to the poetess is Honored Artist of Ukraine, sculptor Mykola Obeziuk, known, in particular, for his works by L. Ukrainka, installed in Volyn, the poetess's homeland, as well as for the famous sculpture, a symbol of the Holodomor in Ukraine, "Girl with Ears of Grain."

Lesya Ukrainka is our beauty and pride, a moral authority for current and future generations, a symbol of Ukraine's national dignity!
